On this page, you may download movies and images that we produced from our numerical simulations. You are welcome to use this material for illustrative purposes in talks or posters. Note however that the selection below is not complete. Additional visualization material can be found on the pages that describe indididual projects in more detail, e.g.: The Millennium Simulation Project The Hubble Volume Project Intermediate-Scale Simulations Higher Resolution Simulations in smaller boxes We have loosely grouped the available movies and images into different categories. Note however that both the simulation and visualization techniques employed in each case may vary widely within each category. Also note that the images contained on this page are only a small selection from our pool of simulation pictures. Further material with more detailed explanations of the scientific background of each simulation can be found on the pages of individual projects.

The movies above are encoded in a variety of different formats, ranging from MPEG-1 to MPEG-4 (divx). Depending on your system, you may have to install additional software to properly play them, and on some systems, playback may not be possible at all, unfortunately. On Linux, you can play all formats using the Mplayer application. For divx5 support, you should first install the divx5-codec (free), and then compile Mplayer. On Windows, you can also install the free divx5 package, which also contains a player application. The quicktime format can be played using the quicktime player from Apple. MPEG-1/2 playback should be possible with software DVD-player applications. On Mac OS, the free version of divx5 should allow a playback of our movies in the built-in quicktime player.

Sometimes movies can also be downloaded for offline use. The advantage of this is that you can watch the movie anywhere, even if you don't have an internet connection. Downloading and watching free movies is not possible without the permission of the makers. You can download movies, but not for free, but for a small fee, but then you also have a good movie in HD quality with subtitles. Fortunately, there are now a lot of online movie providers to easily download movies. The advantage of downloading a movie is that you can watch the movie even if you don't have an internet connection. So that you can still see that one movie that you just missed in the cinema, for example. Or because you just always want to have your favorite movie with you, on your laptop or on your iPad. Usually you can choose an HD version or an SD version of the film. The HD version looks sharper and nicer on a large television, but the SD version takes up less space on your hard drive.

The arrival of tablets such as the iPad and other mobile devices has changed the way we watch movies. Nowadays you no longer have to watch movies only in the cinema or in the living room. You can now watch movies anywhere! Watch movies on the bus on the way to school or work, in the hammock in the garden or in the backseat of the car on the way to your holiday destination. Before you go on vacation, it is useful to download some movies on the iPad in advance. Then you are sure that you can enjoy the movies you would like to see during your vacation. And then you also do not have to deal with internet rates abroad, which is great.

Initially, these movies were released annually as part of Toei's springtime 'Anime Fair' events, always as a double feature with various Digimon films. After the third movie (released in 2002), Toei discontinued the fair, and all subsequent movies were produced as standalone features (with the exception of the eleventh movie, released as a double feature with Toriko 3D Movie: Kaimaku! Gourmet Adventure!! for Toei's 2011 'Jump Heroes' event).

Most of the movies have completely original stand-alone plots set broadly around the contemporary story arc, but movies 8 and 9 directly adapt storylines from the manga. For the first nine movies, Eiichiro Oda was not involved in the films any more than other anime projects; This changed with the production of movie 10, for which Oda wrote the story and served as executive producer. Oda would also be heavily involved in movies 12, 13, and 15, for which he is credited as "general producer" (総合プロデューサー, sōgō purodyūsā?). These four movies all carry the subtitle 'One Piece Film'.

Three of these movies had shorts accompanying them: The Adventure on Clockwork Island with Jango's Dance Carnival, Chopper's Island of Strange Animals with Dream Soccer King, and The Curse of the Sacred Sword with Take Aim! The Pirate Baseball King.

Each plan varies in the content stream quality and how many people can watch the service at one time from separate devices. The number of devices matters for downloading content for offline viewing as well. If you and your roommate both want to download the same episode of a TV show for viewing later, for example, you would need to buy the Standard plan or higher so that you can each save and watch.

To download content for offline viewing later, however, you need to go through the official Netflix app. Available for Windows computers running on version 8 or higher, the app is offered free through the Windows app store to use with a paid Netflix service subscription.

Note: There is no app available for downloading and watching on a mac computer at the time of this writing. You can, however, find the Netflix app in the Apple Store for your iPhone and iPad.

If you only paid for the Basic service plan, your computer will download movies and TV shows in SD quality. If you chose a higher level of service it makes sense to change your setting to download shows in the quality you prefer.

One other reason to choose standard resolution content is the smaller file size. If you want to download a lot of content in a short timeframe - before leaving for a trip, for example - choosing the lower resolution will get that content onto your laptop more quickly.

Depending on your internet connection speed, the playback quality, and the length of the content, it may take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour to download the show or movie. A standard 90-minute movie has a file size of 500MB to 2.0GB, so ensure that you have the hard drive storage space for whatever you are saving.

Our low-cost membership program expands the free content to include animated songs, mathematics, and reading activities spanning K-3. Membership also supports the production of new books, songs, educational games, and movies.

In June 2012, screenwriter Damon Lindelof was hired to rewrite the film's third act, with reshoots scheduled to begin that September or October.[59] He was brought in as a new set of eyes not burdened by all the history of the script and said: "[Brad Pitt] took me through how excited he was when he read the book, what was exciting for him, the geopolitical aspect of it. But when we started working on the script, a lot of that stuff had to fall away for the story to come together."[60] Lindelof explained that there were inefficiencies in the script in relation to the shooting that started before the script was finalized, making the ending "abrupt and incoherent", and that the film was missing a large chunk of footage. He presented two options to executives, who ultimately chose to shoot 30 to 40 minutes of additional footage to change the ending. However, Lindelof, who also reworked Prometheus and co-wrote Star Trek Into Darkness, did not have time to script the new ending, so in July Paramount hired his Lost partner Drew Goddard to finish the work.[61] Goddard later told Creative Screenwriting: "To me the big lesson of World War Z was that Paramount, Plan B and Brad Pitt simply said, 'Let's take the time to make this movie the best version of the movie before we put it on the screen for audience.' [sic] That doesn't happen a lot. A lot of times they just throw the movie out there and say, 'We'll make all our money opening weekend and then the movie will go away.' I came away from it thinking, 'Why don't we do this on more movies?'"[62] 2ff7e9595c
